Their genuine love for dance shines through in every class, inspiring students not only to learn technique, but to fall in love with the art itself. With warmth, patience, and contagious enthusiasm, they create an environment where every dancer feels seen, supported, and encouraged to grow.
More than teachers, they are mentors and role models who are deeply committed to each student’s journey—both on and off the dance floor. They take pride in fostering confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging, making our studio a true home away from home. Through their dedication, kindness, and passion, our instructors and staff help shape not just skilled dancers, but happy, confident individuals who feel part of the ShowBiz family.

Our Dance Instructors

Meghan Lloyd
Meghan is the owner and Artistic Director of SBAD. She has been dancing since the age of four and has trained professionally in a wide range of styles and settings. As a young dancer, Meghan earned numerous titles and scholarships, and she is now recognized for her award-winning choreography.
Before owning SBAD, Meghan was an active teacher and performer within the community. Her experience includes coaching upper-level gymnasts in ballet training at Gymnastics World, serving as a guest artist for several years in lead roles such as the Snow Queen and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, and Princess Florine in Sleeping Beauty. She has also provided training and award-winning choreography for competitive high school dance teams. In addition to her teaching and choreography work, Meghan performed professionally with a production company providing entertainment for corporate events and private parties, and instructed country line dancing at a local guest ranch. She attended the University of Arizona, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology while continuing her dance training through the university’s dance program.
Meghan is grateful for the opportunity to own SBAD and grow it into a space that reflects the very best of her diverse dance experiences. She is passionate about working with her students and strives to create an environment where dancers feel safe, expressive, supported, and truly at home.

Christy Smith
Christy was born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has been dancing since the age of two. She trained in a wide variety of dance styles, with a strong emphasis on ballet, and began competing at age seven. Her early training also includes time with the Point Park University Conservatory program and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.
Christy began assisting and substituting classes at 14 and was teaching her own classes by 18. She attended La Roche College, where she earned a degree in dance with a concentration in ballet and a minor in business.
After relocating to Tucson in 2005, Christy worked at Creative Dance Arts and later at BreakOut Studios as an instructor, Youth Company choreographer, and desk manager. She is currently in her ninth year on faculty at Flowing Wells High School, where she teaches dance and directs the dance company (Pulse).
Christy is thrilled to share her love of ballet with the SBAD family! Outside of the studio, she enjoys playing games, riding her bicycle, and spending time with her daughter, her two dogs, and her family.

Ariana Brown
Ariana was born and raised in Houston, TX. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Ariana grew up doing mainly ballet until the age of 8 years old when she fell in love with jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. She started dancing competitively at the age of 9 and began subbing/assisting classes at the age of 13. She has won numerous scholarships, stylistic awards, and choreography awards.
After moving to Tucson, Ariana danced on Belle Femme and The Drop Fam while in college. Later she graduated from University of Arizona with a BA in Chemistry, a BS in Science Education, and a math minor. Ariana worked at BreakOut Studios as an instructor, Youth Company Director, desk manager, and Adult Company Director. Ariana was the dance teacher at Flowing Wells High School for 9 years - where she taught dance classes, directed the dance company (Momentum), coached pomline, and was the department chair.
Ariana is now in an Assistant Principal at Flowing Wells High School. She also recently earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from NAU. Ariana loves spending time with and teaching her SBAD family!

Sarah Bjorndahl
Sarah is a local who started training in ballet at 5 years old. She began her professional ballet career as a guest artist in southern Arizona in the early 2000s, performing lead roles in The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker.
She found her passion in teaching ballet in 2007 and joined ShowBiz in 2011. After retiring from performing, Sarah became a comprehensively certified Pilates Instructor and works as the Lead Instructor at Club Pilates in Oro Valley. In her free time, she likes to “collect” fitness certifications. (She is also certified in BarreAbove, TriggerPoint Foam Rolling, TRX, and Assisted Stretching.)

Kristie Williamson
Kristie has been coaching cheerleading and tumbling for over 18 years. She has coached all star cheer, high school cheer, recreational tumbling, and power tumbling and trampoline. She attended Weber State University and has a degree in Athletic Training, a Masters Degree in Teaching, and a minor in coaching.
She currently coaches cheer at Ironwood High School, works as a Project Manager, and owns her own business. Fun fact is that she was born in Germany!!

Kylie Armstrong
Kylie started dancing at just 2 1/2 years old and spent 9 years training and competing at SBAD. She is currently studying Nutrition and Human Performance at the University of Arizona, with the goal of becoming a Physical Therapist.
Kylie teaches all levels of Acro and Flip Hop at Showbiz and loves helping dancers grow stronger, more confident, and have fun while learning new skills.

Jordan Woodard
Jordan started dancing when she was 3 years old in Rockford, IL. She started competing at age 12 and competed until she graduated high school. She danced her first year of college on the University of Illinois at Chicago Dance Team and danced in shows throughout the rest of her college years.
Right now she teaches BTJ 3–4, Teen Ballet, and works with the Bitty Competition Team.
Outside of dance, she works as a school nurse and spends most of her free time at the dance studio as a proud dance mom to two daughters on the SBAD Company.

Megan Gauna
Megan began dancing at ShowBiz in 2nd grade when classes were still held after school at Quail Run Elementary. She started competing with Showbiz in 8th grade and continued through high school.
She now teaches Beginning and Beginner/Intermediate Hip Hop and loves helping students explore the many diverse styles and grooves that hip hop encompasses.
Outside of dance, Megan currently works as a Branch Manager at BMO Bank. She is also a proud dance mom of two daughters on the SBAD company—her oldest being the first second-generation student to attend SBAD!

Brittany Peppe
Mrs. Brittany has been dancing with SBAD since it began. She started teaching at ShowBiz after graduating in 2012 and has won regional and national titles both with her own teammates and as a coach. Brittany teaches jazz, ballet, tap, and lyrical, and loves working with the studio’s youngest dancers.
She helped create the Bitty Company for 4–5 year old dancers to dip their toes into competitive dance, which has become her favorite part of her job as she loves watching those students and their love for dance grow.
Outside of the studio, Brittany works in accounts receivable for a government contractor and has two kids she loves spending time with—one of whom now dances herself. Brittany is proud to continue her dance journey with SBAD through teaching and watching her daughter compete.

Brooklynn Dyer
Brooklynn began dancing at ShowBiz at just two years old and started competing at the age of five. She trained with SBAD up until she graduated, totaling nearly 15 years at the studio. In 2019, she began student teaching alongside her sister Brittany and officially started teaching and choreographing after graduating in 2023. As a dancer, Brooklynn earned numerous awards and titles with her teammates and has since received awards for her choreography!
Outside of the studio, Brooklynn is a student at the University of Arizona majoring in Elementary Education with an emphasis in English as a Second Language, along with a minor in Sports Nutrition. She discovered her passion for working with children through dance and is excited to continue that love through her education and teaching.
Brooklynn considers SBAD her second home and the staff and students her family. She loves watching students grow throughout the year and seeing their confidence, passion, and love for dance flourish.

Kourtney Duncan
Kourtney started dance at 6 years old and immediately fell in love with it. She started competitive dance at 7, and continued her training with SBAD for the following 11 years. She has earned numerous scholarships, awards, and titles as a dancer and choreographer!
She stepped into her instructor role at 18 years old with excitement and passion. As she finishes up her 7th year instructing, Kourtney still loves it! She is inspired by her students everyday and couldn’t imagine her life without it! Being “Miss Kourtney” is something she is very proud to be. There is truly no place like SBAD!
Kourtney’s second passion has led her to be a part of the University of Arizona’s first Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Post grad she intends on specializing in dancers to combine both her passions and create her dream job!

Bella Swick
Bella is a Tucson native who began dancing at age 3 and competing by 6. She has trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and tap, with hip hop and ballet being her favorite styles. She has been a proud member of the SBAD family for 11 years.
She began choreographing at 16 and teaching at 18, and has since earned numerous awards while creating competition and performance routines. She was on Black n’ Blue Crew at the University of Arizona and acted as choreographer her second year on the team.
Outside the studio, Bella is in her final didactic semester of pharmacy school at the University of Arizona and serves as an assistant coach for Salpointe Catholic Pomline.
Her goal is to enrich the lives of children through dance while teaching fundamental life skills and, of course, having lots of fun.

Jaime Chism
Jaime began dancing at 2 when ShowBiz first opened. At that time, the studio was ran out of Quail Run Elementary, where she took her first ballet classes in the cafeteria. As the studio grew under artistic director Meghan Lloyd Pacek, Jaime was inspired—especially after seeing her perform as the Sugar Plum Fairy—to take as many ballet classes as she could. She began competing at age 7, assisting beginning classes at 15, and then teaching at 18.
Jaime continued working with ShowBiz’s Pre Premier company while pursuing her degree in early childhood education at Arizona State University. Jaime is passionate about nurturing students’ love for dance and facilitating a safe space for children to be creative and express themselves. Jaime worked with ShowBiz’s competitive students until she welcomed her own daughter into the world in the spring of 2024.
Now Jaime works with ShowBiz’s tiniest dancers in both BTJ and beginning ballet classes.

Verona Lloyd- Office Manager
Verona grew up dancing in jazz, tap, and ballet, with tap always being her favorite. She later moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona.
She has been a dedicated dance mom for over 30 years and is the proud mom of two daughters who were both competitive dancers, performing with studio and high school teams—one of whom is the Owner and Artistic Director of SBAD! Verona enjoys working at SBAD and loves watching dancers grow, learn, and gain confidence.
